Ringkasan Produk
In recent years, the sustainable environment
is become an important measure to assuage
the global warming and so many other type
of pollution due to degradation of global
environment. A preventive measure must be
implemented as soon as possible to enable
the environment is being protected. The main
objectives of this research is to integrate the
decision making model into the Malaysian
urban neighbourhood planning processes. The
study had found 21 sustainable neighbourhood
elements which were segregated into 3 factors
that are economical, social and environmental
factors. The Sustainable Neighbourhood
Elements (SNEs) model system was proposed
to be applied to the current planning and
design system. The SNEs model software can
enhance the current implementation to be
more transparent as it can indicate the real time
examples especially on green space elements
in the neighbourhood. It provides a cumulative
qualitative importance of the sustainability
status and as the guidance of the planning and
design of neighbourhood area. The software
therefore indicates how close a neighbourhood
is to achieve the sustainability status.
Carbon Nanotubes for The Detection of Volatile
Compounds
Nonlinear optical materials is fundamental in
the making of a laser. This material offers broad
range utility in terms of high speed optical
communication and optical modulation at high
frequencies. For example, its application in
radar communication will be highly valued in
both industry and military wise. Today, in the
recent evolution of materials, we explored the
potential application of nonlinear optical materials
in defence technology. Here, the main study of
nonlinear optical properties using organic and
organometallic compounds is shown. The current
aim of our group is to develop optical limiting
devices at strong electromagnetic radiation.
Mathematical Modelling of Shooting Accuracy
Through Gordon’s Method
Although an adsorption is an attractive technique
for metal ion removal from water, its application
is hindered by the cost of the adsorbents. In
this work, a thermally treated rice husk was
studied for its zinc ion removal. Effect of several
factors on the removal at low and high levels
was investigated using a factorial experimental
design technique. The significant factors were
found to be rice husk treatment temperature,
pH of the solution, adsorbent dosage and initial
concentration of Zn (II) solution. The adsorption
of Zn (II) ion was optimized when all significant
factors were at high level except for the
adsorbent dosage. The adsorption data fitted
well with pseudo-second order kinetics model
and obeyed Langmuir isotherm model.
