Kayu bakau yang diperolehi daripada buangan

industri dibersih dan diekstrak menjadi selulosa.

Kemudiannya selulosa tersebut diproses

sehingga menjadi nitro selulosa (melalui

nitrating proses) di mana bahan ini dijadikan

propellent peluru. Ujian yang dilakukan di

lapang sasar tertutup 600 meter di STIRDE

Batu Arang dengan menggunakan 3 g nitro

selulosa menghasilkan halaju peluru (projectile)

sebanyak 480 m/s, berbanding dengan m1

93 Ball ammunition (gun powder) yang hanya

menghasilkan halaju sebanyak 169 m/s

This innovation focuses on the environmentally

friendly synthesis route of graphene

nanosheets. Graphene is a one atom thick

planar sheet of sp2 –bonded carbon atoms

densely packed in a honeycomb crystal

lattice. The unique features of graphene

have attracted tremendous interest both in

academics and industry. Graphene is produced

from the reduction of graphene oxide where

graphite is the starting material. The reduction

process oxide is achieved with reducing

sugars and requires short reaction time using

ultrasonic method. The preparation method of

synthesizing graphene nanosheets completely

avoid the use of toxic reagents making the

whole process of reduction cost effective and

truly eco-friendly.

The aim of this project is to produce a low cost

heavy vehicle “black box” system to record

vehicle data that can be used for accident

forensics. It is hope that this system can reduce

heavy vehicles accidents and fatalities. This

system can log the vehicle’s location, speed,

direction, acceleration, force of impact and XYZ

orientation for offline analysis.

This android mobile app is developed to

promote a healthy lifestyle for children using

a gamification concept. Based on the Body

Mass Index (BMI) level and gamification level,

the child will receive daily “monster mission”

that consist of several healthy living tasks. Each

task completed means that the child is fighting

the “monster”. Upon completing all the tasks,

the “monster” is defeated. For every task and

monster defeated, the child will get experience

points and gain levels. This will motivate and

direct the child to a healthy lifestyle.

The aim of this study is to fabricate a ballistic

resistant laminate composites made of natural

kenaf fibre using vacuum infusion process.

The developed composite were then tested to

reach the level III of National Institute of Justice

(NIJ) standards. Vacuum assisted resin transfer

techniques is used in fabrication processes. The

mechanical properties in term of tensile strength

were investigated. The impact properties

were then determined and show good energy

absorption.
