ANUGERAH DAN PENCAPAIAN

Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) 2015

Pada 12 sehingga 14 Februari 2015, seramai 10 orang penyelidik dengan 15 penyertaan telah mewakili

Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) bagi menyertai Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) 2015

bertempat di Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC). Perasmian MTE 2015 telah berlangsung pada hari pertama

penganjuran dan dirasmikan oleh YBhg Dato’ Nurhalim Bin Yunus, Pengarah MTDC. Sejak penubuhannya

pada tahun 2001, MTE 2015 telah berkembang menjadi ekspo ciptaan dan inovasi antarabangsa yang

utama di rantau ini. Ia adalah acara tahunan dengan lebih daripada 500 pameran ciptaan dan inovasi. MTE

2015 menampilkan lebih dari 100 penyertaan oleh universiti, institusi penyelidikan, pencipta individu dan

sektor korporat dari negara-negara Asia dan Eropah. Penganjur utama MTE edisi ke-14 ini ialah Malaysian

Association of Research Scientists (MARS) dan PROTEMP Exhibitions and Conferences Sdn Bhd. UPNM

telah diwakili oleh 10 orang penyelidik dengan 15 produk penyelidikan yang terdiri dari pelbagai kategori.

Penyelidik UPNM telah berjaya merangkul 1 Special Award, 4 pingat emas, 3 pingat perak dan 6 pingat

gangsa mengikut kategori yang telah dipertandingkan. Penyertaan sebegini merupakan salah satu usaha

untuk membentuk minat dan daya saing yang tinggi di kalangan para penyelidik terutama penyelidik muda.

Selain itu, dengan menyertai pameran penyelidikan juga dapat menambah informasi terkini berkaitan dunia

penyelidikan semasa.

Missing child early warning system using GPS

is not very effective. GPS even though more

accurate is limited in its application i.e. no

overhead cover obstructions for GPS signal

to work. The missing child will most likely be

kept in a house or building to avoid etection.

This Early Warning and Response System to

Prevent Missing Child uses Cell ID and Geo

Fence Technology. G-NUR: Geo Fence National

Urgent Response Alert System will allow

concerned parents to be alerted if their child

has left a specified area the minute it occurred

via short messaging service (SMS).

Easy Deployment Warning Sign has been

designed to give an option for replacing the

existing warning sign that being used by road

user on the breakdown vehicle. The main

objective of this product is to develop an

easy deployment barrier with better visibility

and portable. The EDC Barrier designs were

focused on the issue of portability, visibility and

durability. The advantages of this EDC Barrier

are easy to handle, less space required for

storage, light, stable, visibility enhancement

and durable. The perception form users being

collected to get the optimum design. For

technicality, EDC Barrier being simulates using

finite element method (Patran). The results show

that the EDC 7 Barrier was durable and the

users really agreed that this barrier can minimize

risk because of the enhancement in visibility

factor. This EDC Barrier being designed to be

incorporated for car and motorcycle.
