A strand burner or sometimes mention

as Crawford Bomb could be defined as

an apparatus that provides burning rate

measurements of a solid rocket propellant at an

elevated pressure. It is well known method to

measure the burn rate of composite propellant

mixture in a controlled laboratory setting. To

simulate the condition of high chamber pressure

in a rocket motor, inert gas such as helium,

carbon dioxide, argon or nitrogen is used

to pressurize the strand burner. To provide

high-pressure burn rate data at pressures

up to 70 atm, the authors have installed and

characterized a new strand burner facility at the

Universiti Malaysia Pahang. The strand burner

has a mounting stand that allows the propellant

strand to be mounted horizontally. The strand

was ignited electrically using hot wire, and

the burning time was recorded by electronic

timer. Wire technique was used to measure

the burning rate. Currently, the burning rate

characteristics of HTPB/Ammonium Perchlorate

(AP) propellant mixture have been evaluated

over five different chamber pressures ranging

from 1 atm to 31 atm. Repeatability between

the same mixture has been demonstrated to be

very good which is within the range of 5%.

Technology is expanding rapidly to meet the

needs of consumers and the current market.

A close circuit television (CCTV) is seen as an

important requirement especially in combating

criminal issues nowadays. Looking at and

referring to the existing CCTV, a new circuit

camera system that is more user-friendly and

systematic is being proposed by this study.

This fully automatic system is capable of

detecting movements of an object that moves

in the closed circuit camera surveillance. After

detecting the movements of the image or

object, the system emits an alarm, lights and

sends the processed images to users via short

messages service(sms). With this proposed

system, users can lead a more comfortable and

safer lives. To achieve this comfort is to create

a system that can control this closed circuit.

In order to create such a system, there are a

few important aspects that should be seriously

considered. Amongst the concerns are: cost

of equipment, cost of maintenance systems,

databases, and security level of equipment, and

how user friendly is the system. Focusing on

these aspects, a system with specifications that

meet the criteria of users will be produced.
