Ringkasan Produk
The usage of conventional torque coupler using
planetary gear set causes the engine operating
points cannot be achieved to an optimum
speed and torque region due to the complexity
of mechanical interaction between engine and
the PMSM motor. To overcome this problem,
an Electronic Wedge Torque Coupler (EWTC)
is developed in order to ensure the efficiency
of the torque distribution to achieve higher than
conventional mechanism. Meanwhile, by using
the Electronic Wedge Torque Coupler able to
deliver the torque from the IC engine and PMSM
motor in any condition. Besides, the complexity in
the configuration and control of the conventional
mechanism can be avoided using the proposed
mechanism. The EWTC is developed using a
combination of two wedge mechanism with
standard parts which are the multi-plate clutch
of a motorcycle engine and control by using
additional two DC motors. The rotational motion of
both DC motors is controlled using an electronic
control unit to control the rotational motion of
the wedge mechanism. The rotational motion of
wedge mechanism will engage or disengage the
multi-plate clutch in order to connect either with
the PMSM motor or engine or both system.
Among the equipment donned by the military
personnel during field operation is the “utility
belt/braces” used to carry multi-purpose
pouches or packs around their waists. On top
of this existing braces, a backpack is also worn
on the back of the personnel, used to carry
other paraphernalia.
Currently, the assemble is such that the braces
are put on first (first set of shoulder straps),
and then the backpack is worn on top of the
braces (second set of shoulder straps). This
arrangement is cumbersome due to personnel
having to don 2 sets of equipment and it could
be inconvenient. The backpack alone is heavy
even without any load; and this could potentially
hamper the movement of the military personnel.
Hence, this new innovation is meant to lessen
the inconvenience caused by the “double-
wearing” and it can be accustomed depending
on the needs of the field operations.
The objectives above are achieved by the
followings:-
1. No more “double-wearing” of the assembles;
2. Usage of detachable compartments
according to needs hence reducing the
unnecessary weight of the burden to be
carried by the personnel;
Apart from the above, the new backpack is
improved with the usage of zippers for easier
loading and unloading of the backpack as
opposed to the current function which only
allows access from the top of the backpack.
