Penyertaan UPNM dalam
BIS 2014 ini adalah kali
pertama dan kemenangan
yang diperolehi jelas
menunjukkan bahawa
kualiti hasil penyelidikan
UPNM semakin mendapat
pengiktirafan di peringkat
antarabangsa. Selain itu,
produk-produk penyelidikan
UPNM turut mendapat publisiti
meluas media tempatan dan
antarabangsa. Anugerah dan
Pencapaian Penyelidik pada
BIS 2014 adalah seperti di

British Invention Show 2014
(BIS 2014)
Hasil penyelidikan UPNM terus
berjaya mendapat pengiktirafan
di peringkat dunia apabila 8
produk hasil penyelidikan UPNM
yang menyertai British Invention
Show 2014 (BIS 2014) pada
22 hingga 25 Oktober 2014 di
Barbican, London telah berjaya
diiktiraf dengan menerima 4
pingat emas, 2 pingat perak dan
2 pingat gangsa.
Kejayaan ini bertambah manis
lagi apabila produk D-Cell:
Defence Cell Culture System
yang diketuai oleh Prof. Madya
Dr. Azizi bin Miskon dari Fakulti
Kejuruteraan turut dinobatkan
sebagai penerima The World
Invention Award yang turut
menerima piala pusingan King
Hamad International Award
for Invention yang julung kali
dianugerahkan pada pameran
tersebut. Beliau turut meraih
International Invention of the Year
- Platinum Award selain penerima
pingat emas. Manakala Prof. Dr.
Fauziah binti Haji Abdul Aziz dari
Pusat Asasi Pertahanan, telah
menerima International Invention
of the Year-Double Gold Award
bagi produk Cellulose Micro/
Nano Fibril (CMNF).
Bagi penyertaan BIS 2014 kali
ini disertai oleh 10 buah negara

This invention consists of a bioreactor and
transcutaneous electrical stem stimulator
system that can increase cells proliferation
while maintaining and improving their functions
purposely developed for tissue engineering and
regenerative medicine application.
Cellulose microfibril/nanofibril (CMNF), a very
strong reinforcing material second only to carbon
nanotube. Extracted from tropical plants, it has
unique and interesting features - abundance of
natural bioresource, renewable and environmental
friendly with high mechanical properties.
This innovation presents composited CA polymer
electrolytes for use in electrochemical devices
such as lithium-air batteries. The electrochemical
devices performance results showed that
this green CAPE had a huge potential to be
commercialized.
Sugarcane bagasse being used as a product to
prolong the concrete setting time. The sucrose
content in the sugarcane bagasse is the main
element to retard the concrete setting time can
achieved for 5 hours.
This project is to develop a low cost long range
NLOS data communication system that combines
both 2.4GHZ and sub 900MHZ band while at the
same time retains the use of COTS WIFI devices.
Additional vehicle signal serves as rear warning
lights during the event of rainstorm. This warning
lights alert approaching drivers to proceed with
caution to avoid unsafe consequences during
rainstorm
